On a warm summer evening in early July 2018, Sami and Jake were separately dragged to Woodsky's bar for a night of goldfish racing (pictured) and beer.
Jake approached Sami by asking what she named her fish (it was Poke).
They immediately hit it off and exchanged numbers, and the rest is history... or was it?

A few days later Jake reached out to Sami.

Unfortunately, Sami was seeing someone else at the time so she had to say no. This was her attempt to let Jake down easy.

After only a couple of weeks, Sami could not stop thinking about the guy she met at Woodsky's that fateful night. Just a couple of weeks later, with the encouragement of her friends, she shot her shot and asked Jake if he'd still be willing to go out.

Thankfully, Jake said yes and they went on their first date a couple of days later.

Only a month after their first date, they became official.. and the rest is history!
